Wintus stands for „Wind Turbine and Solar“.

This company was founded in 2001 with a capital of 1 Mio. € as commercial basis for the Wind Energy Chair (SWS) donated to the University of Stuttgart by the KSG (Karl Schlecht Gemeinnützige Stiftung).  

The administration of business of the WINTUS GmbH is carried out by Dipl.-Ing. Karl Schlecht, the founder of the Putzmeister company. At the same time, he is chairman of the Karl Schlecht Familienstiftung (KSF) as shareholder of the Putzmeister company. Wintus is 100% his exclusive possession as well as the affiliated company Primus Industrieparks KG. This company as well as KS Immobilien are managed by the management team Stefan Hack (authorised representative and deputy general manager) and Axel Kober (authorised manager and commercial manager).

In the meantime, the Wintus GmbH was taken over by 100% by the founder of Putzmeister and the donator of the Chair of Wind SWE, namely Mr. Karl Schlecht of the Putzmeister Holding GmbH, after having sold the Windwin KG to NATENCO GmbH in Echterdingen.

Since then, WINTUS is the platform for his activities in the area of renewable energies. To these belong own investments and affiliated companies at home and abroad.

Earnings gained therefrom are used for financing the Chair of Wind energy which receives 250.000 Euro each year from the KSG. The SWE as first German Chair for Wind Energy Plants is based on a donation given in 2004 by Karl Schlecht. In 2010 the friendly company Firma Windreich AG joined as sponsor and now shares the financing of the Chair for Wind with the KSG equally. The founder of the Windreich AG, Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. Willi Balz, started the Natenco company in 2000 together with Karl Schlecht, from which emerged the Windreich AG.

Since the Wintus GmbH is associated with the non-profit organisation KSG, special emphasis is placed on the promotion of the common welfare, science and training. Basis of all actions of the people employed in this company is the Putzmeister value catalogue (www.pmw.de).

Like Putzmeister Holding GmbH (shareholder of the worldwide active Putzmeister concrete Pumps GmbH) Wintus is located in Aichtal (7 km Southwest of the Stuttgart Airport). Consequently, synergies can be developed and used with the potential available in the Putzmeister group. This promotes developments in the area of concrete structures for especially high Wintus towers. Many records were achieved in highrise pumping with Putzmeister concrete pumps. Example is the Frankfurt television tower during the construction of which concrete was pumped 310 m high as early as 1976.
